PBT: Atomic Energy

Not yet written up as a dedicated topic in PBT’s own terms — but real, established physics already covers the ground well: mass-energy equivalence ($E=mc^2$, see the Symbols & Units catalog) governs both fission (splitting heavy nuclei) and fusion (combining light ones), and is proven to extraordinary precision — nuclear power plants and the Sun’s own output are direct, everyday confirmations.
PBT touches this indirectly: Paper 1 cites nuclear binding energies (~8 MeV/nucleon) and atomic/chemical binding (~4–6 eV) as rough consistency checks on its hierarchical pressure model, and a real, independently-audited attempt to model nuclear binding energy specifically from PBT’s own premise exists — see the Semi-Empirical Mass Formula page for the real formula being re-derived, and The Theory for the current state of the overall model. A dedicated PBT account of atomic energy release itself (why fission/fusion release energy, in PBT’s own mechanical terms rather than just citing the real numbers) isn’t developed yet.
