Who he was
Erwin Schrödinger (1887–1961) was an Austrian physicist. His 1926 wave equation for quantum mechanics — describing how a quantum system’s wavefunction evolves over time — remains one of the central equations of physics, and earned him a share of the 1933 Nobel Prize in Physics with Paul Dirac.
