Catalog: Unknowns

A dark undefined void at the center of the frame surrounded by a faint ring of glowing light, like an unlit region waiting to be illuminated.

Real open questions that mainstream physics itself admits it hasn’t solved — not gaps PBT or any other fringe idea gets to claim by default, just unsolved territory. This site already keeps a dedicated, detailed accounting of these: see Gaps in Science for the full list (dark matter, dark energy, quantum gravity, the black hole information paradox, matter-antimatter asymmetry, consciousness, the universe’s origin, neutrino masses, abiogenesis, and the Fermi paradox) along with a per-item statement of exactly how much — or how little — PBT actually addresses each one.

The short version: of eleven major open questions (revised 2026-08-06 — gravitational waves added as item 11, and the dark-matter claim narrowed after the medium-density identification was retracted), PBT makes a real, checkable proposal on two (dark matter — mechanism only, via $G_{eff}(l)$; dark energy — see Standard Cosmology and Dark Matter Is the Medium), a partial/conceptual one on three more, touches one lightly, and doesn’t address the remaining four at all. That accounting lives on Gaps in Science itself, not duplicated here, so there’s exactly one place to keep it current.
